Katschberg is quickly becoming a top Austrian ski resort for those looking for some quality accommodation, ski to door accommodations and of course some amazingly beautiful, well groomed piste. Katschberg Guide

Katschberg is a great resort with virtually guaranteed snow, not just due to the high altitudes but the fact that the resort is serviced by over 800 snow cannons making sure conditions and pistes are compacted and in great condition. With over 66 kilometres of serviced runs and a great 8 kilometres run from the peak to the village makes this a great resort regardless of ability.

This resort offers a great selection of gentle greens and blues for beginners and with uncrowded slopes, makes it perfect for families too. There is a great English speaking ski school too, offering group or private tuition for every age group including children and there is some great child care facilities in hotels and ski schools too. This is a fabulous resort for families, the non ski activities are massive.

Intermediates are offered a great selection of challenging runs with plenty mountain restaurants to visit for a rest. There is even a handful of night skiing pistes available up to 9pm on an all area lift pass for those who think 8 hours skiing is not enough.

Advanced and boarders are slightly limited in Katschberg however there is plenty of excellent off piste opportunities and a great selection of long cruisy runs and a couple of mogul fields too so we are sure you will find enough to entertains for a weeks holiday.

Nightlife

Katschberg is a typical Roman styled village with a lovely cosy feel to it, very traditional too. Folklore evenings prove very popular with clients along with the good selection of bars and restaurants too. Many of the hotels off great entertainment in house too.

Non ski activities are wide and varied and particularly popular with people travelling with children, many excursions a made with kids in mind. For example, in Katschberg, there is an amazing ice rink offering fun for all and many of the local representative do a fun night, again with childrens entertainment the main focus. There is spa facilities, sleigh rides, swimming pools and many more activities too.
